“Charming” is the word that came to mind immediately when we checked in and throughout our stay. Our family of three, including a 6yo, loved our recent stay. We stayed in La Farola room, which featured a comfortable bed, lovely furniture, and a bathroom with a great shower. We loved the eco-conscious focus, including recycling bins and the environmentally friendly soaps. But of course, the true gems of our experience were Tisha and Eddie, who made us feel so welcome and helped us start each day with delectable homemade breakfasts. What an experience! We can’t wait to return.
Casa Sol is a quiet gem in Old San Juan. We are still talking about the delicious breakfasts and cozy, immaculately clean lodgings. Hosts Tisha and Eddie are warm and welcoming, we look forward to seeing them again!

My wife and I stayed at the Casa Sol Bed and Breakfast, in late March 2023. We don’t know what we could possibly add to all of the previous reviews that Eddie Ramirez and Tisha Pastor have already received but will try. It is located in Old Town San Juan and the building is amazing. Our room was quaint and the open-air atrium where breakfast is served was inviting and comfortable. The breakfast changed daily and was delicious. More than this however, the hosts were truly accommodating. One morning we had an early morning sightseeing trip. Mr. Ramirez wouldn’t let us leave until we had coffee and some sweet rolls to start our day.
Simply the best B&B experience!
This is by far the best B&B experience I have ever had. The room was gorgeous and spotless clean. The bed was very comfortable. The shower was wonderful with an eco-friendly invitation/challenge to limit showers to 5 minutes, so we don’t waste water and help take care our planet. This environmental awareness extends to their solar panels in Casa Sol. The breakfast is to die for, different and delicious every morning, featuring tons of local fruits. The location is perfect to visit Old San Juan and/or the metropolitan area. Communication was always fast and helpful. And most of all, Tisha and Eddie are wonderful human beings, generous and kind. This is the place to stay if you are visiting San Juan!
A little oasis in Old San Juan
Casa Sol is a gem of a place. I highly recommend it, especially if you are looking for charm, relaxation, quiet, romance, and more! It is small but elegant. The decor is exquisite, right down to the dishes used for serving breakfast. Speaking of which, Eddie cooks up a restaurant level meal, delivered to you by the delightful helper. Your hosts, Eddie and Tisha, provide a very warm welcome and are happy to help you plan your stay, get you a cab, or for anything else. Our room, with its high ceilings and old-style architecture, was a comfortable, cool and relaxing space after a day full of sightseeing on foot. It was on the street side, and you could hear some ordinary street noise, but was very quiet at night. The king-sized bed was extremely comfortable. We really appreciated the hosts’ dedication to climate sustainable practices. I’m adopting the five-minute-shower-challenge!! The courtyard is beautiful and full of beautiful decor and plants. Restaurants and tourist attractions are all within walking distance. Casa Sol is definitely a place I hope to return to. Do not hesitate to stay here!!!!
